Road rager pummels defenseless sign

A street sign on Old Reserve Drive took the brunt of a driver’s rage, according to a person who called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident. The person said the man drove a late 1990s gold Honda Civic and he had hit sign at a round-about. He then got out of his car and punched the sign. The car was last seen headed south on Stillwater Road,

Someone called to request a deputy’s presence at a Marion residence while a man moved his sister’s belongings out of the house. The query was due to the fact that the homeowner was a “mean guy.”

A man said his neighbor called him more than 100 times the other day and 30 times today threatening him, so he wanted to know what could be done. He was advised to obtain a restraining order against the man.

A caller said a man was walking on Highway 82 near the green box trash collection site and had thrown several items into the path of traffic. The man was wearing a white T-shirt, a sweater and he carried a hammer. The man also threw a shoe, which hit a semi truck, and flipped off the driver.

A woman said her roommate left his gun and bullets in his truck and did not lock them. She has kids who live in the area and she was concerned for their safety. An officer called the man and gave him some advice on the matter.

A neighborly dispute near Lake Five ended amicably after a chat with a deputy. The caller said a man had dug a trench for a fence had thrown dirt and debris on her dogs. She said before she moved her dogs inside, he had mumbled under his breath and she believed he had attempted to get her dogs all worked up.

A man who called to say he hadn’t received a return phone call on a burglary report was informed that when an officer did call, he couldn’t leave a message because the man’s voicemail was full.

A caller said a man had moved several tall mounds of dirt into a pasture behind her, resulting in blown dirt that ruined her carpeting.

A woman sitting on her front porch said a man who wore a mask and camo clothing growled at her as he walked past her.

A caller said a drunk, homeless man had fought with him and threw something at one of his piglets.

Someone reported a black cow standing on the side of Highway 206.

When a boy’s watch dialed 911, he didn’t answer a return call from law enforcement because he was afraid. The child’s mother said everything was fine when a deputy contacted her.

A person called the Kalispell Police Department about a pit bull puppy that had been locked out of the home. The caller’s major concern was that there was no fence to keep the dog from running away. Upon further review, the dog was tied up and appeared to be OK.

Another caller said he had found a puppy at the gas pumps of a downtown business. The owner of the dog arrived shortly after to take the lost pooch home.

A person discovered a woman sleeping in a blue sleeping bag on the grass in front of a beauty salon. She wanted to make sure she was OK.
