David Allyn Rundhaug, 78

Kalispell’s beloved David Allyn Rundhaug, 78 years old, passed peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018.

David was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, Dec. 4, 1939, to Erma, and Wallace Rundhaug. He graduated from Flathead High School, Kalispell, where he met his wife Victoria.

David served in the Navy; soon after, he became a park ranger at Kayak Point County Park, in Stanwood, Washington. Later, he would start his own reputable septic business, finally retiring from the Boeing Company.

Dave was a loving husband, an outstanding father, and terrific grandfather. He enjoyed surrounding himself with family and friends. He was an outdoorsman, and liked fishing, clamming and oyster picking. He also loved cooking and picking on his guitars. He was loved and will be immensely missed.

David was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Dennis, and his sister Lorna.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria; and four sons, David, Randy, Kirk and Tony; five grandchildren, Jacob, Meira, Hunter, Sophie and Grace; two brothers, Wally and Gordon; and his sister, Lora Lynn.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington.
