It was a rough night on the diamond for the Kalispell Lakers A American Legion baseball team Tuesday at Griffin Field.

The Bitterroot Red Sox A used a strong pitching performance by two hurlers to win the opener 7-0 and followed with a 14-2 triumph in Game 2.

The Lakers were held to three hits, all singles, in Game 1.

Kalispell managed to get eight hits in the nightcap, but only scored twice — both runs crossing the plate in the fourth inning.

Connor Drish went 2 for 2 in the second game for the Lakers and Payton Davisson was 2 for 3. Drish and Luke Halland had one RBI each.

That game ended on the 10-run rule when Bitterroot tallied eight runs in the top of the fifth.

The Lakers A continue with conference play, hosting Cranbrook, British Columbia, A on Friday for a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. at Griffin Field.
