The Event at Rebecca Farm, one of the largest equestrian triathlons in the United States, will return for its 16th year from July 18-22.

Boasting over 600 individual entries, the Event will showcase the three primary components of eventing: dressage from July 18-20, cross-country from July 19-21, and show jumping from July 20-22.

The Event will also host the Youth Championship for its second consecutive year, which will feature aspiring riders from ages 14-21.

An expanded Kid Zone will also be available from July 20 onward. The Kid Zone, courtesy of Whitefish Credit Union and Stumptown Art Studio, includes pony rides, face painting and mini golf.

Young horse enthusiasts can also take part in the “Pony Up” experience, a free Horsemanship 101 course held within the Kid Zone. The course introduces the basics of approaching, riding, and caring for horses, with each individual session lasting one hour.

The Shopping Fair and Festival, held in tandem to The Event, will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 19-21, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 22.

The Event at Rebecca Farm is once again promoting pledges for the Halt Cancer at X Initiative, which aims to provide funding for local cancer organizations, as well as national breast cancer research. Pledge instructions and forms can be found on the official Rebecca Farm website, www.rebeccafarm.org.

An official schedule will be released the week of The Event and will be available on the website as well.
