Marjorie Redding

Marjorie B. Redding, 87, died June 9, 2014, at the Bee Hive Assisted Living facility in Columbia Falls.

She was born on April 13, 1927, in Newport, Idaho, the daughter of John A. and Clara E. Anderson. She grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta, Kalispell Whitefish. She graduated from Whitefish High School in 1945.

She spent her early years working at Markus Grocery in Whitefish, where she met her husband-to-be, Don Redding. They were married on May 10, 1950, and lived in Martin City, Whitefish and finally in Columbia Falls.

Marjorie was a stay-at-home mom with her children until the early 1960s when she worked  as an Avon representative and at the Park Merc until retiring in 1986.

She is survived by her son Tracy Redding and wife Ann, of Issaquah, Wash.; daughter Jackie Burrell and husband Rick, of Columbia Falls; grandchildren Andrew, Stephen and Emily Redding; great granddaughter Avery Jo Redding; and cousin Cecil DePratu, of Lethbridge, Alberta.

A graveside service will take place at Glacier Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. An open house and reception will take place at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls on Saturday, June 14, 2014, from 2 to 5 p.m.
