50th party

The family and friends of Carrol and Beverly Sorensen would like you to help celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Please join them for a reception in their honor on Sunday Aug. 21 at the North Valley Senior Center in Columbia Falls from 2 to 4 p.m.

MASH Bash

North Valley Hospital's annual MASH Bash, where folks dress up as their favorite MASH characters and then have a big fund-raising dinner and dance with the Don Lawrence Orchestra, starts at 6 p.m. Aug. 12. Tickets $50 per person. Call 863-3630 for tickets.

Pool party

The Knights of Columbus Council 7009 will be holding a pool party at no cost for all Knights of Columbus members, family and friends from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Pinewood Park pool.

Myer sings

Larry Myer will sing at the Belton Chalet at 8 p.m. Aug. 11. There is no cover charge.

Toastmasters

Women meet

The Columbia Falls Women's Connection meets at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 17 at the North Valley Community Room for lunch and a program by Pat Abernathy of Oregon, who will talk about the perils of being a teenage mother. Rock show

There will be a huge rock show for the rock enthusiast at the Kalispell Center Mall Aug. 20-21, hosted by the Kalispell Rockhound Club. Admission is $2 for adults. Show starts at 10 a.m. each day.

Soccer tourney

A soccer tournament for boys and girls U-11 through U-18 is Aug. 26, 27 with eight-versus-eight play. Games are two, 25-minute halves. Call 758-7848 to register your team now.

Concert series

The Columbia Falls Lions Club concert series wraps up Aug. 11 (tonight) with the Columbia Falls Community Choir at 8 p.m. Glacier Bank providing treats for Concert in the Park Thursday night. Glacier Park Incorporated has donated a grand prize for the concert series, which includes two nights lodging and golf for two at Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier as well as an interpretive tour for two on the red jammer. Must be present to win at the final concert of the series.

Realms of Avalon

The Realms of Avalon, a historical re-enactment group will be holding a demonstration on Aug. 13 at 53 5th Street West Hungry Horse, behind the Crooked Tree Hotel.
