| November 3, 2004 11:00 PM

Cynthia Goldthwait died peacefully at home on Oct. 23, 2004. Cynthia was born Dec. 17, 1923 in Syracuse, New York. She was the daughter of Claude and Ethel McNett. She worked in her parents' bakery and candy shop, also as a crossing guard for the Syracuse Police Department. She married Woodrow Goldthwait after his return from fighting in the Pacific during W.W. II. They had one son, Glenn in 1949. After Glenn moved to Montana in 1977, they soon followed. Cynthia always dreamed of a log cabin in the woods. That dream was realized when Glenn built their cabin, just off Farm to Market Road. She was proud of the fact that she helped peel the logs.

Cynthia will always be remembered and missed for her tenacity, her fiery spirit, keen wit, and sense of humor. Her positive attitude and incredible strength helped her to live her life to the fullest. Survived by her son Glenn, his wife Ann and their daughter Rose and stepdaugher, Kelly and, also, by siblings: Sylvia, Victor, Duayne, and Phylliss. There will be an open house honoring Cynthia's life on Saturday, Nov. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the home of Glenn and Ann Goldthwait at 339 Dakota Ave. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice in Cynthia's name may be made.
