Man looking for a fight gets ticketed instead

Friday, Jan. 17

— A vehicle was reportedly off the road on Holt Drive with extensive damage and unknown injuries to any occupants. An off-duty deputy from Lake County reported the incident and later called back with a new location after local responders were unable to locate the vehicle. It was later confirmed that there were no injuries to occupants involved in the crash.

— An injured deer was reported on the west side of Highway 35. Deputies were unable to locate the animal.

— A male allegedly threatened to come after an individual. The caller was counseled and the suspect was warned.

— An individual was concerned that a vehicle and trailer parked at a resort were stolen. Arrangements to tow the vehicle were made.

— A van had reportedly been parked at a gas station for the past month. Law enforcement reported someone would mark the vehicle the following morning.

Saturday, Jan. 18

— An abandoned vehicle was marked.

Monday, Jan. 20

— A caller on Hanging Rock Drive received multiple calls from someone who requested her Medicare number and address. The caller’s questions were answered.

— A dog and a male were reportedly inside a pickup on Aero Lane for hours. The reporting party said “they don’t belong” and wanted them checked out.

— A boxer and a Lab were reportedly at-large on Commerce Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

— A caller on Rocky Woods Lane called with questions about disposing an old firearm.

— An individual on Sunset Place reported foot tracks on their property. They had called earlier and now observed additional tracks.

— A caller on Crestview Drive reported their neighbor was beating on their door and screaming. The apartment manager spoke with the individual in question.

— An individual who had a storage unit with a local provider learned it had recently closed down but the business owners never informed her.

— A resident on Beach Road requested a deputy take a report of “what has been going on in his neighborhood.” The individual’s questions were answered.

Thursday, Jan. 23

— A caller at a Highway 83 residence reported a female they had a temporary restraining order against was allegedly violating that order by messaging them.

— An individual on Vista Lane said they were being harassed by their ex-husband through a third party and had received text messages and Facebook messages from this person.

Friday, Jan. 24

— An individual with “important data for a deputy” waited at the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

— A caller on Beach Road requested a phone call regarding a neighbor who allegedly set them up.

— An individual on Beach Road requested a phone call about their neighbor allegedly sending vehicles by their residence.

— A young man and woman were sitting in a parking lot and the male allegedly was threatening to beat people up when asked to leave. The two individuals departed in a green Honda SUV. Montana Highway Patrol located the vehicle in question and arrested the driver for driving under the influence.

— A deputy checked on an abandoned truck and trailer.

— A caller requested an ambulance for a female juvenile and a male who were allegedly fighting. Glass was present on scene and both individuals were reportedly bleeding from the altercation. The female allegedly bit the male and took off running. He declined the ambulance. Deputies located the female in question and transported her to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

— MHP reported they were searching for a gray Ford F-150 that may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident and requested a deputy to respond in case they needed to make contact with the suspect.

Saturday, Jan. 25

— A male allegedly threatened a female over text. The deputy advised the female of her options to pursue charges and the process for obtaining a temporary restraining order.

— The driver of a white Chevy truck reportedly tried to pass another vehicle on Montanan 35, even though oncoming traffic was visible.

— An individual allegedly ”rough handled” another person. When the person screamed for help, the individual reportedly threatened to punch them. The individual was apprehended by law enforcement.

— A pitbull was reportedly loose on Highway 209. The caller was advised to reach out to Lake County as well.

— An individual on Beach Road requested to speak with a deputy.

Monday, Jan. 26

— A caller on Beach Road stated someone knocked out their window and requested extra patrols in the area.

— A man walking on Montana 35 reported he was stranded between Woods Bay and Kalispell after he got into an argument with his girlfriend and she kicked him out of the house. A passerby reportedly gave him a ride to Bigfork.

— An individual on Jewel Basin Court had allegedly not returned home from going fishing. The caller called back later to say they had made contact with the individual in question.
