'Widow-maker' tree ready to fall

Someone calling from Kuhns Road in Whitefish told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about a tree that reportedly had been notched and was leaning the wrong way, ready to fall, on Farm to Market Road, referring to it as a “widow-maker.” Agencies were notified and the plan was to send equipment to handle it.

Someone on U.S. 2 in Kalispell reportedly damaged a fence and left, but may have left the vehicle behind.

A man woke up to purportedly find a woman sleeping in his car on Migration Road in Somers.

A Columbia Falls man allegedly went to a woman’s house in Kalispell, punched her in the face and assaulted another man by holding him down and trying to choke him. The incident reportedly stemmed from the woman refusing to be in a relationship with the suspect.

Someone reported hearing cussing and “vulgar talk” on Central Avenue in Martin City and wanted law enforcement to show up and see if they could quiet things down.

A man, woman and children were heard screaming and yelling on Pierce Lane in Bigfork.

Someone found a needle in a Kalispell park.

A Kalispell resident told deputies the “twins from next door” allegedly sprayed a sticky, smelly substance over the fence. Oh, and the neighbors were also supposedly using a “Porta Potty” instead of their toilets.

A woman calling from Montana 35 in Kalispell saw a fistfight occurring between two to three men on a deck or balcony and one of the men was trying to pin down another. The woman reportedly saw “blood everywhere.” Alcohol was involved in the incident. One man reportedly had a warrant and was detained.

A Lakeside woman told officers a man broke the door off her truck. The man claimed she struck him on the side of his face during an argument. Both may have been intoxicated and ended up not wanting to cooperate with law enforcement. Parties were separated.

Someone had a scare on U.S. 2 in Kalispell when a 1-year-old reportedly stopped breathing for 30 seconds after possibly choking on a penny. The child began breathing again and was conscious, but lethargic and had difficulty swallowing.

A man was allegedly throwing beer bottles out of a vehicle on Batavia Lane in Kalispell and hit a truck.

A Pebble Drive resident in Kalispell woke up to find an old school bus on her property.

A Leisha Lane resident in Kalispell told officers there was a beat-up truck “with a bunch of junk in it” parked at the end of their driveway.

A woman on Mackenzie Lane in Bigfork reported a large rock was thrown through the back window of her vehicle. Someone else on Lake Hills Drive in Bigfork also reported a large rock thrown through the front window of their car.

A man calling from Blue Sky Lane told officers there were ongoing complaints against his dogs and he just discovered a family of skunks living underneath their kennel. He believed this was the root cause of the barking and wanted animal control to be aware he was attempting to remedy the situation.

Someone on U.S. 93 in Kalispell alleged someone attempted to steal a customer’s minivan and crashed it into their vehicle in the process.
