Q. Columbia Falls has seen significant commercial and residential growth in recent years. Is the city doing enough to guide economic growth, both in city limits and in the city’s outlying planning jurisdiction?

A. The current city council members, planning board members and staff are continually seeking ways to balance the needs of growth in residential and economic development while competing to remain a well-established, close-knit and open-minded community.

Q. Do you support a resort tax for Columbia Falls? Why or why not?

A. Taxes will go up as we expand. Where will the taxes be collected from? Just the people that live within the city limits or all the people that use Columbia Falls. The public needs additional clear and open information to make a more informed decision.

Q. Is the city of Columbia Falls doing enough to address affordable/workplace housing?

A. The city of Columbia Falls is continuously working with the state of Montana in taking advantage of grants and funds for the development of quality economic housing.

Q. What qualities make you the best candidate for a council position?

A. I have served the public of Columbia Falls since 2006 and wish to continue helping the citizens as I have and want to be a part of the team. I have the time, energy and passion to perform as an effective council member and I would like the public to support me with their votes as I will support them.
