Marjorie Cecilia (Bakshas) Gravelle, 77, passed away suddenly on Sept. 23, 2019.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill in 2007.

She was born on July 30, 1942, in Seattle. She graduated Columbia Falls High School in 1960 involving herself in music and the local community choir. She was married in 1962 and traveled the country supporting her husband, a member of the United States Air Force. Upon retirement they resettled back to Columbia Falls where they continued to be active in the local community and St. Richard’s Catholic Church.

Love and generosity came naturally. She was an amazing woman who had a strong passion for her family and helping others. She was known for her willingness as a volunteer. Her most notable service was to the American Red Cross and Helping Hands. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, American history, genealogy and a variety of arts and crafts. She was empowered intellectually and fully engaged in life.

She is survived by her three children, Gregory Scott and Shelton Ann Gravelle of Ada, Michigan; Anthony Wayne Gravelle of Springfield, South Dakota; and Tamara Renee and Shannon McMeans of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Josiah Scott, Samuel Patrick, Jonathan Yeats, Benjamin Williams, Nathaniel Robert, Peter Bakshas, Anna Cecilia-Marie Gravelle; and Meaghan Renee and Travis Wayne McMeans; and one surviving sister, Helen Jean Bakshas, of Pasco, Washington.

Services were held Sept. 30 at St. Richard Catholic Church of Columbia Falls.

She leaves us full of memories to last a lifetime.
