Lights go dark for delinquent tenants; puppy plays rough

Thursday, Nov. 7

— A man at a Highway 209 residence reported his former renters were complaining about him shutting off their power when in fact, the power company had turned off the power. The renters were reportedly behind on paying their rent, but had not moved out yet. The caller was advised to follow the civil eviction process and seek legal counsel.

— A caller at a Highway 209 residence reported their power had been shut off and the breaker box was padlocked. The caller was allegedly over $3,000 behind in rent and refused to pay the landlord. The landlord reported he would begin the civil eviction process ASAP.

— A caller reported two trucks parked on Riverside Road near a blind corner and were creating a traffic hazard. A deputy drove through the area and observed a disabled vehicle that was off of the roadway.

— A caller reported their daughter had gone out with a male and was not home within an hour. The male allegedly had started smoking marijuana while driving and the daughter jumped out of the car. The reporting party believed the male was a Bigfork resident. Deputies were unable to make contact with the male in question.

— An individual reported a female was having difficulty breathing and was going in and out of consciousness. The female reportedly passed out but was breathing and had a pulse. The ambulance hit a deer en route and additional responders were paged to the scene. The patient was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Friday, Nov. 8

— A woman reported a suspicious man in the parking lot of her chiropractor’s office on Hwy. 35 who ran into the trees upon seeing her. She requested an officer speak with the man in question.

— The owner of a local business reported a customer with stolen checks out of Bigfork had them cashed at his establishment.

— A caller reported the driver of a white car with government plates was speeding, passing over double yellow lines and heading north on Hwy. 35. The caller stated they had a picture of the vehicle but couldn’t make out the plates.

Saturday, Nov. 9

— A caller in Ferndale reported their female roommate was “back on the premises” and had allegedly started drinking again. The female reportedly did not have permission to be there and was reportedly becoming argumentative and was touching the reporting party. Both parties were counseled and the caller left to stay in a hotel for the night.

— An individual stated they believed their wife had been roofied at a restaurant on Hwy. 35 because her behavior was reportedly not appropriate for the amount of drinks she had consumed. The caller’s wife was having difficulty breathing and was in and out of consciousness. An ambulance respond to the scene and administered care to the woman.

— A man in a local bar was allegedly bragging about being high on mushrooms and reportedly hit a cup out of another customer’s hand earlier. A deputy dropped the male off at the post office in Somers.

— The mother of two children reported she had not been able to get in touch with them while they were staying at another residence. The children were at a friend’s house and had been allegedly avoiding her calls because they suspected she was “using again.”

Sunday, Nov. 10

— A small terrier reportedly nipped at his granddaughter on Ranchetts Lane. The caller was concerned that the dog might have a disease. The puppy was transported to the Flathead County Animal Shelter. The dog reportedly appeared healthy and had been playing with the granddaughter after following her home.

— A caller said her teenage children were allegedly smoking pot and wanted advice on how to handle the situation.

Monday, Nov. 11

— A caller requested emergency service personnel check on a man who was reportedly sleeping outdoors in 15-degree weather. An ambulance responded and made contact with the man in question.

— A woman on Slow Down Lane reported someone stole about $7,000 worth of firearms.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

— An individual reported an apparent homeless man in the middle of Highway 209 who was trying to stop traffic. Montana Highway Patrol spoke with the man and advised him to stay out of the road.

— An individual reported the theft of grocery items, animal toys and over the counter medications from a Highway 209 business. The caller provided some of the trailer license plate numbers of the vehicle in question.

— A caller reported a possible robbery suspect driving a green Nissan Pathfinder. A tow truck later hooked up to the vehicle. The individual was not the suspect in question.

— An individual reported they were assaulted in late October and wanted to file charges.

— Three callers provided names of potential suspects in the casino robbery after seeing a picture of the suspect on social media.

— A tenant who resided above a local business reported someone “tearing” the business apart. Upon further inspection it was just a “disgruntled” employee who was upset about being called in on their day off.

Wednesday,

Nov. 13

— A caller on McCaffery Road reported a computer hacker obtained access and control over his device and was harassing him. He said the hackers told him his computer would blow up if he hung up and shut the computer off. The caller was given resources on how to report an internet scam.

— An individual on Marina Way reported people in a Winnebago who appeared to be taking up residency in a pavilion area that was supposed to be locked. The caller did not want to press charges, but asked that the individuals be moved along.

— A slender male allegedly was shining and flashlight and wiggling the door handles of a local grocery store. The reporting party said when the man was confronted, he took off. ¦

— A caller stated they may know the identity of the female allegedly involved in the Bigfork casino robbery.

Wednesday, Nov. 14

— A caretaker of a residence on Echo Lake Road reported the a home had been broken into an a Mercedes was stolen out of the garage. Further inspection revealed firearms were also missing from the residence.

— A caller stated they were trying to retrieve their belongings from a Highway 209 location but the landlord had locked the gate.

— A man opened a savings account with a check for $4,950 that was reportedly fraudulent. He withdrew $500 and later attempted to withdraw $3,000 when the bank realized the check was no good. The bank contacted the man and was advised to call the sheriff’s office if he did not return their call.

— An individual’s mail was stole from a Brosten Road address.

— An escaped black and white hog was reportedly seen running eastbound on the highway.

— A caller who had a temporary restraining order against a male reported the male in question was at their residence. Deputies transported the man in question to the Flathead County Detention Center.

— An individual reported an ongoing issue with their neighbors shooting around 8 p.m. at night. The neighbor in question was advised of the complaint and also told that he wasn’t doing anything wrong.

— Peaceful Drive was not so peaceful according to a caller who reported a woman allegedly kicked his vehicle’s window, took his crutches and shattered the window.

— A caller reported someone had possibly smashed the breaker box at their parent’s residence on Hwy. 209. They gave the name of a suspect.
