Flathead Audubon will be sponsoring a birding field trip Saturday, May 25, from 7 a.m. until noon in Glacier National Park with wildlife biologist Steve Gniadek.

Expect to see chickadee species as well as recent migrants like warblers and flycatchers, loons and Harlequin ducks.

The group will bird from Apgar to Fish Creek.

Bring appropriate gear for weather and binoculars. The trip is limited to 14 participants.

Good Sam chapter plans campout

Rocky Mountain Rollers Good Sam Camping Chapter has its May Campout from May 23 to May 27 at McGregor Lake RV Park, across U.S. 2 from McGregor Lake Cafe,10 miles west of Marion.

Polson library group holds book sale

The North Lake County Public Library District’s Friends of the Library are holding a used book sale Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the large meeting room at the library, 2 First Ave. E. in Polson.

Browse through hundreds of used books, DVDs and audiobooks, all at bargain prices. Fill a bag with books for only $5.

Fundraising items include the new Friends of the Library canvas book bags and T-shirts available for $15.

Refreshments will be served. All proceeds and contributions from the event will to toward the Friends’ support of the library’s programs and projects.
