Screaming man not where he belongs

Whitefish Police received a report of a man who was heard yelling and screaming inside an apartment building where tenants claimed he did not belong. According to the report, the man was walking around barefoot.

Someone called the police to report a child who fell off his bike. The boy had scratches to his face, but was alert and conscious.

Two middle-aged men allegedly entered a store and asked an employee to show them an item. While one of the two men went with the employee, the second man allegedly stole her phone, which was sitting on the counter.

Someone called to report their son’s bike as stolen, but told dispatch their son wasn’t 100 percent sure a friend didn’t take it.

A concerned neighbor told police he noticed the door to his elderly neighbor’s house was open at midnight and remained open until the next day. The caller said the elderly man’s car was not in the driveway and no one answered the door when he knocked.

A woman called 911 to ask officers to check on her boyfriend, who said he was going home due to a migraine and then never called her back. The man was found at his intended location.

According to a Columbia Falls Police report, someone attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill. The receiving party told the customer the bill was fake, and the customer pulled out a real bill instead. The customer allegedly got the fake bill from a casino.

A man reported finding a rifle in a brewery parking lot with no one around. Officers arrived and confiscated the weapon, found under a bush, and held it for safekeeping.

A woman called to report her 5-year-old missing and gave a description of the child to police. However, the woman refused to give her name to the officer. The woman then told dispatch she found the child and hung up.

Someone had a pair of binoculars stolen out of their unlocked vehicle. They did not see it coming.
