Miss Rodeo Montana Kayla Seaman of Kalispell is gearing up for national competition with a fundraising gala May 18.

To raise funds for her expenses for the upcoming year, Seaman will be holding the gala at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The event will include a social hour, photos, catered dinner, beer and wine for sale, a silent auction, live auction, games for all ages, and music throughout the evening.

Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner and a drink ticket. General tables are $350 for eight people, and sponsor options are available. More information and tickets are available at https://www.missrodeomontana2019.com/gala-tickets/child-ticket

A 25-year-old Kalispell native and fifth generation Montanan, Seaman is the daughter of Michael and Mary Beth Seaman of Kalispell.

The first rodeo queen from Kalispell in 17 years, Seaman won in the categories of Personality and Appearance, Horsemanship and Presentation and Projection.

She will graduate in May from the University of Montana with a Master in Business Administration degree. She plans to pursue a law degree through the University of Montana. Once established, she wants to be a professor at Montana State University teaching business, an American Quarter Horse Association judge, and continue volunteering her time for equine-related and youth activities.

She is also a National Finals skijoring champion and enjoys hunting and traveling the rodeo trail.

Seaman’s duties as Miss Rodeo Montana will include extensive travels inside and outside the state of Montana, promoting professional rodeo, Montana and its agriculture, and rodeo education.

In December, Seaman will travel to Las Vegas to compete for the coveted title of Miss Rodeo America.
