A Kalispell man accused of felony assault is back in jail after allegedly testing positive for methamphetamine and violating the terms of his release.

Daron Joseph Lime, 38, was booked into the Flathead County Jail on March 23.

Lime was initially jailed Feb. 4 on one felony count of assault with a weapon and one misdemeanor charge of partner or family member assault. According to court documents, Lime allegedly punched his spouse and beat her with a broom handle following a verbal argument.

Lime entered a plea of not guilty to that charge and was released Feb. 21 on his own recognizance with conditions that he not use drugs and that he submit to drug monitoring.

Court documents state that Lime’s court-issued drug patch tested positive for meth on March 13.

Lime is being held at the county jail on a $25,000 bond. A jury trial is set for April 29.

He faces a maximum term of 20 years in the Montana State Prison.
