Fay A. Gettig, 81

Fay A. Gettig went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2019, peacefully, at Welcov Assisted Living.

She was born on Feb. 3, 1938, in Minot, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by Ted, her husband of 45 years. Fay graduated from Cheney High School in Washington in 1954.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family. She enjoyed flower gardening and canning. Going to Arizona and being a “snow bird” in the winter was a joy to her.

She is survived by two brothers, Chris and Earl Aman of Spokane, Washington, children Ted Gettig (Linda), Sherry Wehrman (John0, Mark Gettig and Tamara Gettig, and seven grandkids and 16 great grandkids, who were all a joy to her and she loved spending time with them.

A celebration of Fay’s life will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home with burial to follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
