Legion Baseball Bucks rally in 9th to edge Lakers, 4-3

Kelher Murfitt singled in the game-winning run in the top of the ninth inning as the Bozeman Bucks defeated the Kalispell Lakers 4-3 in American Legion AA baseball play Saturday evening at Griffin Field.

Connor Drish, 2 for 4, led the Lakers at the plate.

Kalispell had six hits to eight for Bozeman.

Randy Stultz and Ryan Symmes each had one RBI for Kalispell.

The Bucks (38-12) and Lakers play a doubleheader today starting at 1 p.m. at Griffin Field.

LIBBY — A six-run seventh inning allowed the Libby Loggers to down the Kalispell Lakers at Lee Gehring Field in A play.

Tripp Zhang, 2 for 4, doubled, homered and drove in two runs for Libby. Alex Svensbye, 1 for 1, also had two RBIs for the victors and doubled. Donovan Fornall, 2 for 2, was the other top hitter for Libby.

Caden Willis, 3 for 4, led the Lakers offensively. He tripled and drove in two runs. Thomas O’Connell, 2 for 4, and Gage Brink, 2 for 3, were the other top hitters. O’Connell had a double along with Danny Kernan.
