Violinist Wai Mizutani opens FVCC concert series

Flathead Valley Community College Music Department’s spring concert series opens Feb. 1 with a performance by world-renowned violinist and FVCC music faculty member Wai Mizutani.

Accompanied by Alma Ramlow and Natilee Radosevich, Mizutani will play timeless classical romantic and dance pieces by Spanish and Italian composers, including Pablo de Sarasate, Nicolo Paganini and many others.

The series will continue March 15 with a concert featuring FVCC music faculty members and guests, including Flathead High School Choral Director Jennifer Stephens, Glacier High School Choral Director Sandee Sauer; Columbia Falls High School Choral Director Emily Hackethorn, and FVCC faculty members Amy Beth Chisholm, Nicole S. Sanford and Mizutani.

Free and open to the community, both concerts will begin at 7 p.m. in the large community room inside the Arts and Technology Building.
