The Literacy Center of Northwest Montana is relaunching its annual fundraising event, Spellebration.

Set for Saturday, March 2, Spellebration is a competitive Scrabble tournament where teams of four compete to create the highest-scoring Scrabble board in the given time. Prizes will be given to the teams with the highest scores.

Spellebration will be held at the Gateway Community Center in the Gathering Place-Suite 26, 1203 U.S. 2 W., in Kalispell. Rounds are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.

Light refreshments will be provided at each session.

The cost is $25 per player and $10 for students and seniors.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Literacy Center’s programs. The Literacy Center offers services such as tutoring, free book delivery and financial literacy. The center is also launching its new Dress for Success program. The Dress for Success organization focuses on providing low-income women with opportunities to find professional employment by providing them with business attire and employment-seeking training.

Build a Scrabble team of four or community teams will be put together for you to join.
