Whitefish Theatre Co. auditions for 'Alice in Wonderland'

| February 7, 2019 2:00 AM

The Whitefish Theatre Co. is holding auditions for a spring production of “Alice In Wonderland,” a family production that will be performed in April.

Auditions will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Auditions are for adults of all ages and young actors ages 7 and up.

The north door at the back of the O’Shaughnessy Center will open at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, and 6:30 p.m. Monday for those wanting to fill out an audition application early and review the audition selections.

Based on the timeless classic by Lewis Carroll, “Alice In Wonderland” takes the audience “down the rabbit hole” with Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventure. This beloved story celebrates the pluck and intelligence of a young girl, as well as the powerful wonder of imagination.

Will Alice ever be able to solve the Mad Hatter’s riddles or will it be “Off with her head!” at the Queen of Hearts’ command?

The cast includes several adult male and female roles (all ages welcome), as well as many roles for young actors. No experience is necessary to audition and no preparation is required. Pages from the script will be provided.

Rebecca Spear is the director for this production.

Rehearsals will begin this month and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday at the O’Shaughnessy Center. Seven performances are scheduled, April 11 to 14 and April 18 to 20.
