Labor Day Golf Tourney Lindholm, Gordon post low rounds
Kalispell’s Logan Lindholm shot 59 to tie his tournament course record on the Cameron 9 with a bogey-free round and two-time defending champion Kali Gordon of Okotoks, Alberta, shot a 4-under-par 70 on the Championship 18 as both top the leaderboard after the first day of play in the 82nd annual Labor Day Golf Tournament at Buffalo Hill Golf Club.
Lindholm has a 4-shot lead on four players who are tied for second with 63s — Jimmy Cowan, Brad Grattan, Brock Robillard and Kyle Mossfeldt.
Justin Dorr and Ken Bush are tied for sixth with 64s.
Gordan has a massive lead heading into today’s second round of the 54-hole event. Janell Tanner-O’Neal and Jerie Clark, who are tied for second, are 12 shots back.
Louise Cholette-Haley is fourth with an 84 and Katelyn Dunning fifth with an 87.
The tournament ends Monday.
