Buckskins and a bay on a stroll

A caller to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office reported two buckskins and a bay without halters wandering on Edgewood Drive.

Someone said an ex-employee charged $165.99 to the company without authorization. The accused allegedly had assault and drug charges in the past.

A man said someone slashed his tires, stole his license plate, gas and took items out of his car.

An altercation at a pizza place left one woman bloodied after an ex-girlfriend beat up a man’s current girlfriend.

A woman had her wallet stolen while taking a shower at home in Hungry Horse. She said it had happened before, but her wallet had been returned.

A caller told the Whitefish Police Department she was concerned that speeders on Baker Avenue were going to hit the animals that were crossing the road.

A black bear was found in a garage at a construction site. It eventually left.

A man was cited for public drunkenness after a caller saw him peeing near the side of the road. He was trying to ride a bicycle, but kept falling over.

The mama black bear and her two cubs were seen again in town, this time on 2nd Street. Another bear was seen rooting around in a trash can.

Someone reported a missing child to the Kalispell Police Department. The caller, who was a teacher, had the father with her. When an officer spoke to the parents, the girl was fine. She had been with a family friend and they forgot about her plans.

The driver of a car said his foot slipped off the brake when he was pulling into a parking space, which caused him to hit a parked Chevy Tahoe.

A man called to report his son had lied to police about an incident. He wanted the boy to speak with the officer to “make it right.”

A caller said he could hear a couple arguing in an apartment near him. He thought he heard the woman choking. When an officer investigated, he learned the couple had a sick child who was keeping them awake. Their lack of sleep resulted in a verbal argument. The officer did collect a black canister that was labeled medical marijuana. But neither occupant had a medical marijuana card.

A store employee reported the theft of a pair of $8.99 earrings and a handful of suckers. The suspects left the scene in a four-door, green Toyota. There was video footage, which was going to be reviewed.
