Kenneth William Foote, 70

Kenneth William Foote, 70, died peacefully Jan. 12, 2018, at his home in Kalispell, after a long struggle with COPD and flu.

Ken was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dec. 27, 1947, to Rose M. Harris Foote and Ward L. Foote. At age 7, he moved to Minneapolis and obtained citizenship. He lived in the Minneapolis area until 1995 when he moved to Kalispell. He graduated from Minnetonka High School.

He married Patricia M. Lokken, Feb. 28, 1970. They later divorced. He then married Gloria Jones-Stimson March 4, 2004.

Ken owned and operated his own business, the QRS construction company, through 1990. He held various other non-construction positions since that time, including executive “head hunter,” transportation broker, golf course maintenance, and bartender at Nickel-odeon, Fatt Boys, Spinnaker and Blacktail. He finished his career in 2013 at Village Greens doing golf course maintenance.

Ken was on the Eden Prairie school board for eight years. His final duty was to hand his son Brian his high school diploma.

Ken had a deep love of sports, including coaching his son and friends. He participated in many sports, but his love later in life was golfing, often with his best friends Dave and Wayne.

Ken loved music and singing at karaoke. Ken’s renowned sense of humor was comical and he loved to perform for everyone. He was loved by many, making friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jones-Stimson-Foote; children, Brian and his wife Melissa Foote of Eden Prairie Minnesota, Ronda Stimson-Adams and Jodi Michelle Stimson of Kalispell; grandchildren, Hannah Jane and Audrey Rose Foote of Eden Prairie Alicia and Asher Hefty, Jacie Stimson and Talon McCarver of Kalispell; great-granddaughter, Hailie Hefty; brother-in-law, Brett Packard, of Salt Lake City; numerous cousins, other family, and many friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Ward, brother Leroy Foote, sister Kathleen Foote-Packard, and infant brother Brian Foote.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
