Stillwater girls, Flathead Valley Homeschool boys top seeds from West at MCAA state tournament

Defending Montana Christian Athletic Association state girls basketball champion Foothills Christian School of Great Falls will open the 2018 state tournament against Flathead Valley Homeschool today at noon in Bozeman.

Foothills Christian is the No. 3 seed from the Eastern Division while Flathead Valley is the second seed from the West.

Foothills Christian defeated Stillwater Christian School 54-34 in last year’s championship game.

Stillwater begins state play at 4:30 p.m. versus Gallatin Valley Homeschool. Stillwater is the top seed from the West. Gallatin Valley is the fourth seed from the East.

In boys state tournament play in Bozeman today, Stillwater Christian faces Foothills Christian at 6 p.m.

Stillwater Christian is the third seed from the West. Foothills Christian is the second seed from the East.

Flathead Valley, the top seed from the West, plays Yellowstone Christian Homeschool, the No. 4 seed from the East, at 7:30 p.m.

Semifinal action for girls is Friday at 2:30 and 4 p.m. Semifinal games for boys follow at 6 and 7:30.

The tournament ends Saturday with the girls championship game at 2:30 p.m. followed by the boys championship game at 4.
