Bigfork boys, girls top Loyola

BIGFORK — Anders Epperly totaled 15 points and eight assists while Beau Santistevan had 10 points to go with eight blocks as Bigfork bumped Missoula Loyola 60-45 in the Class B regular-season final for both basketball teams.

Bigfork (18-0 overall) trailed 9-8 after the opening quarter, but went on top 24-19 at the half and 44-27 after three quarters.

Randy Stultz added 12 points for Bigfork.

Jack Lincoln had 17 points for Loyola.

Bigfork heads to the Western B divisional for a first-round contest on Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Ronan Events Center.

BIGFORK — Jaime Berg netted 14 points and claimed 15 rebounds in a Class B victory over Missoula Loyola.

It was the regular-season finale for both teams.

Rakiah Grende added 13 points for Bigfork.

Tessa Burke topped Loyola in scoring with 13 points.

Bigfork (17-1) will play Anaconda at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday in first-round action of the Western B divisional tournament at the Ronan Events Center.

THOMPSON FALLS — Troy rallied in the fourth quarter, but came up two points short of Thompson Falls in District 7B play.

Troy outscored Thompson Falls 16-12 in the final eight minutes.

Allie Coldwell had 26 points to lead Troy, and all scorers. Megan Baxter led the way for Thompson Falls with 19 points.

Helena Capital cashed in at the free-throw line to upend Glacier in a Western AA contest at Glacier.

Capital was 14 of 20 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter and outscored Glacier 23-8 to pull away for the win.

For the game, Capital was 20 of 36 free-throw shooting.

Kali Gulick and Alivia Atlee shared scoring honors for Glacier with six points each. Sydney Sheridan topped Capital with 13.

Glacier hosts Missoula Hellgate today at 4:15 p.m.
