Someone called the Whitefish Police Department to report a man had eaten $23 worth of food and tried to pay for it with a credit card. When the waiter swiped the card, it was declined. When he returned to the man’s table, he was gone. The man was described as tall and he wore a dark-colored plaid shirt, jeans and a ballcap.

A school bus hit a blue Subaru on 2nd Street, but there were no injuries. The bus company paid for the damage to the other vehicle.

Someone turned in property to a store manager who called police because there were drugs and paraphernalia found inside a bag that also had the ID card of a current employee.

A woman called to report a man was harassing her. She said he had done work for her, but had overcharged her and she refused to pay. She claimed he harassed her on social media. An officer spoke to both parties and told the man to submit an invoice with specific charges.

A caller reported a man asleep at the wheel of a red minvan. She said he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. An officer investigated, but found no one inside.

A man who was going to unload porta potties for an event but couldn’t because there were two vehicles parked in his spot, despite the presence of “no parking” signs.

A report of a working structure fire on Granite Drive proved to be false.

Someone reported a dog in a parked vehicle that kept setting the alarm off.
