Print Article

POLSON — Aside from a narrow boys loss to Whitefish, Polson had little trouble taking care of its competition on Friday afternoon at the Cut Bank Invitational, which was played in Polson because of inclement weather in Cut Bank.

The Whitefish boys edged the Pirates 4-3, but Polson rebounded to knock off Cut Bank 4-2. The Polson girls beat Whitefish 5-2 and Cut Bank 5-1.

On the boys side, Polson and Whitefish split the four singles matches, but the Bulldogs held a 2-1 advantage in doubles.

Brendan Buls and Eric Holdhusen picked up wins for Whitefish, and Joe McDonald and Alex Mausshardt were victorious for Polson.

Kaiden Forman-Webster and Sam Schultz won singles matches for the Pirates versus Cut Bank.

Shea McGuinness and Briana Forman won two singles matches each for the Polson girls, and Berkely Ellis, Josie Peterson and Ara Mercer were victorious in one singles and one doubles match apiece. Megan Rost was part of two doubles wins.
