Bigfork Summer Playhouse kicks off 2017 season

The 58th season of live professional theater at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts returns this weekend when the Bigfork Summer Playhouse debuts “The Marvelous Wonderettes.”

The first two performances are Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. Single show tickets and discounted early season ticket packages are on sale now at www.bigforksummerplayhouse.com.

“The Marvelous Wonderettes” is a musical comedy featuring pop songs of the ’50s and ’60s, including “Dream Lover,” “It’s My Party” and “It’s in his Kiss.”

The show is the first of six the repertory theater will perform this year. Others include “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” “Mamma Mia!,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.” The group will also perform “Hits from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s” to close out the season.
