The Flathead Valley’s best and brightest young professionals will be honored in June at the inaugural 20 Under 40 celebration and event.

The Daily Inter Lake will be presenting these honors in June along with the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce and the Flathead Area Young Professionals group.

“The Flathead Valley is full of talented young people who make significant contributions to their companies and the community,” said Anton Kaufer, director of advertising at the Daily Inter Lake. “Sometimes they’re easy to recognize and sometimes they fly under the radar. Here’s an opportunity to put them in the spotlight and share their story.”

The announcement of this partnership took place at a gathering at the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce on March 16 at the same time the Chamber and Flathead Area Young Professionals were celebrating their newly forged alliance. Board and committee members from each group were on hand to join the celebration.

“Having a strong network of young talent is crucial to developing an economy that will ensure a strong future for the Flathead. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to celebrate the young leaders who are pushing us in that direction,” said Joe Unterreiner, President/CEO of the Kalispell Chamber.

A month-long nomination period will open up in April followed by a review by a selection committee comprised of local business leaders. This year’s 20 Under 40 will be announced during the Kalispell Chamber’s June 20 luncheon and will be followed by a special keepsake publication that will appear in the Inter Lake.

Details on eligibility and judging criteria will be published soon in the Inter Lake and online. For more information, please contact Anton Kaufer at 758-4410 or Kate Lufkin of the Kalispell Chamber at 758-2801.
